It's been awhile

You know it's been too long since you posted to your blog when you have to type in your blog address in the address bar, it doesn't just come up automatically because you were on it in the last month. Well, I'm not very good at this blog thing, but I enjoy posting every once in awhile and hope you enjoy my posts too.

I've decided to post my goodreads webpage. When I could sit down in one night and put 40 plus books on my list that I've read, I realized how big a part of my life books are. I have always loved reading and remember reading Nancy Drew when I was young and loving the mystery and suspense of those books. I might laugh at them if I read them today. And, what girl didn't read Judy Blume when she was pre-teen in the 80's? Most of the time today, I would rather read than watch t.v. or a video. Rob must think I'm pretty boring a lot of nights, because he'll just find me reading away. But, I love the depth you can get from a book and the fact that you can get into the character's head through a book, unlike in a movie. I never like a movie more than the book and I think that's pretty universal.

So, if you are interested in some books I have read, check out http://www.goodreads.com/review/list/1963828
Some of you might not agree with my choices. I am usually a very conservative person, but I tend to be more liberal with my book choices.

Happy reading!

Hi Sonda, how are you doing? I need to read more. My girls are such avid readers, they put me to shame. I'll take a look at your list and hopefully I'll be inspired. Take care.

funny, my friends and I get into arguments about books we have both read because I make characters the way I want them and might even change a couple things to make it mine! She says I have to stick to the authors version but I'd rather hear the authors story and mine at the same time! :) Im retarted I know. :)

I too love reading and after seeing this, I added a book list to my blog. Hopefully it will inspire me to pick up books more and watch TV less!

I'm anxious to see your recommendations!

Fun to read your book list. Not at all what I would have expected from you.
I think I'll give the Screwtape Letters a try...it sure seems to be quoted a lot.
Yep!....I'd love to do preschool with you this next year and yep we rotate...are you up for teaching?
